M.L. Kreczmer

M.K. Lawrence (writing formerly as M.L. Kreczmer) writes stories that draw from history to ask questions of the present. He has a particular fascination with classical antiquity and Bronze Age mythology, and his work aims for a similar blend of history, fantasy, and folk wisdom.

He’s drawn to fiction as a space for exploring philosophy and identity, fueled by his own experiences with neurodivergence and self-discovery. His protagonists often experience their worlds and relationships with different wiring than most, with common themes of authenticity and belonging. He believes stories are at their most powerful when they let a reader see multiple perspectives with space to draw their own conclusions.

When he isn’t writing fiction, Lawrence is a software engineer and also designs narrative-forward video games under the Lupo Artico Studios banner. He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with two very opinionated dogs.
