Sherrie McCarthy

Sherrie was born and raised in Newfoundland, has her home base in Germany, and at any given time can be found just about anywhere in the world. Prior to being bitten by the motorcycle bug she taught English in Japan, Korea and the Czech Republic. After being bitten by the bug she continued to teach English, only this time in Germany, where she learned to ride her own bike. She wrote a column titled Chasing Summer for the theindependent.ca about her experiences as she travelled the world by motorcycle. Since returning from this trip she has sold her bike and is now in the process of moving herself, her partner Patrick, their two small children and their dog onto a sailboat. She writes and blogs about motorcycle adventures, sailing adventures and the creative process.
