Lamont Carey

Lamont Carey is an internationally known spokenword artist and motivational speaker. He has appeared on Russell Simmons' "Def Poetry Jam", HBO's "The Wire", BET's "Lyric Cafe" and The Michael Baisden Show. His award winning spokenword CD "IMAGINE" is available on Amazon. Mr. Carey is also a playwright, director and author. His play "Learning to be a Mommy" debuted at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. He recently directed his independent TV series, "Laws Of The STREET" and a documentary, "Outside The Gate". His poetry book, "Why I Keep U A Secret" was released in 2007 and is a bestseller among women at many of Mr. Carey's speaking engagements. His latest book release is "THE HILL" which has received rave reviews and requests for a sequel. Mr. Carey will be releasing several more books in the upcoming months.
