Susanne M. Davis

Susanne Davis holds an MFA from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop. Her short stories have been published in numerous journals including: American Short Fiction, Notre Dame Review, descant, Feminist Studies, St. Petersburg Review, Zone 3, Carve and Boston Fiction Annual Review. Her work has won awards and recognition including: Hemingway First Novel Award, American Short Fiction Contest (second place), and mention as a distinguished story in Best American Short Stories series, among others.

A section of her novel, GRAVITY HILL, was featured at the Boston Fiction Festival. It is circulating and currently looking for a publisher.

Susanne teaches creative writing at the University of CT and in private workshops for adults. She is on the Board of Directors for the International Women Writers’ Guild and is a teaching artist for the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.
