Jan Hull is an American poet and writer. In addition to her novel Ceres Exley: The Quarantine, she has two published collections, The World: Poetic Connections, 2004, and Gravity, 2007, both by Coastal Villages Press. Her lyrical poetry has appeared in The South Carolina Review, Westview, The Chaffin Journal, Art Times, Reflections Literary Journal, Wisconsin Review, and others.
Hull has published articles on arts and events in The Beaufort Tribune, and she has blogged for Bluffton Today.
She is a juried member of South Carolina Artists-In-Education, and is a grant recipient from the Arts Council of Beaufort County, South Carolina.
Hull is the founder of Pure Poetry, a poetry advocacy group that appeared at the South Carolina book festival in 2005, 2006, and as a panel in 2007.
Hull is a 27 year veteran of the construction industry. Ceres Exley: The Quarantine is her first novel.
