Matthew Hampton

Matthew Hampton is the creator of the Sprout & The Friendship Tree children's book series — kawaii dinosaur stories that teach kindness, humility, and love to kids ages 3–8.

What started as a simple idea — "What if a little dinosaur could teach my kid about being kind?" — grew into a series that parents are calling "the books my children ask for every single night."

Each book in the series weaves gentle, Bible-inspired values into heartfelt stories without ever being preachy. Kids fall in love with Sprout, Rosie, Sunny, Slate, Pip, Ember, and now Spino. Parents fall in love with the lessons that stick.

Matthew writes and publishes from Surprise, Arizona through VaultPrintCo, where he also creates guided wellness journals, planners, and faith-based resources for families.

When he's not writing stories about tiny dinosaurs with big hearts, Matthew is probably working on the next book in the series — because Sprout always has more to learn.
