Aaron B. Bryant

Aaron Bryant is a licensed mental health therapist and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with twenty years of experience in behavioral health. He holds graduate degrees in social work, public administration, and music technology, and has worked across clinical, supervisory, and program leadership roles in the field.

He is the author of two memoirs. A Synchronous Memoir of Addiction and Recovery (2010) chronicles his early-twenties descent into substance use and the long road back. It's Dark in Here (2025) returns to autobiographical territory fifteen years later, exploring depression, open heart surgery, and the strange experience of being a clinician on the wrong side of the therapy room.

Aaron writes about mental health, addiction recovery, the role of music in healing, and the quiet realities of being a helper who is also human. He lives in Eugene, Oregon, and speaks at universities, behavioral health programs, and community organizations on mental wellness and lived experience.
