Cultural details include cities, towns, villages, roads, and political boundaries. Geographical details shown are mountains, rivers, lakes, and forested regions. Fancy cartouche in lower left corner. Obviously many boundaries and political entities have changed from the mid-1700's. On Poland's southern boundary are Turkey in Europe and Little Tartary. On it's western boundary lie Pomerania and Germany. The eastern borders of both Poland and Lithuania extend to the Nieper [sic] River and the Russian Empire. *** Clean, sharp impression with good color, blank verso. Small hole (no loss) in Baltic Sea has been plugged so water does not drain away. Some overall light rippling along top and bottom margins.
