Both volumes tightly bound in green cloth with blind-stamped design and gilt lettering and decoration to front; each volume has a frontispiece and 3 further plates (checked and all present); volume 2 has 4pp ad. for Marryat's work at rear. Spines faded and yellowed with gilt lettering; head, foot and hinges of spines have some wear and tear; other corners a little worn and bumped. Page fore-edges yellowed. Internally, a few discolouration spots but text is clean and bright; owner's name on front free endpapers and small cut-out symbols on front paste-downs Used - Good. Good hardbacks.
