Later attractive panelled calf, front board detached, raised bands, gilt spine, label partially deficient, marbled endpapers, edges speckled red. Gaddesdon Library bookplate to front pastedown. Occasional later neat note of a case number to margins. Occasional small woodcut capitals with decorative or figurative motifs. An attractive volume of early statutes in black letter, collated complete and correct (other than front and last blank, as often) from a distinguished printer. A crisp example, though there is unfortunately a damp mark to upper margins for much of the text, which is noticeably worse around pages 960. (please see photos). An important piece of early seventeenth century English printing, please note alas now flawed, but still fine for bibliographic or study purposes. Priced accordingly. ESTC S121411.
