First Edition, First Printing. A fine copy. Very scarce. Only a handful of copies are known to have been signed, dated and adorned with an original and beautiful illustration created by both artists inside the front foldout. The book reproduces the thirty-two large black-and-white canvases of their monumental graphic sequence of the same name. Together the panels tell the story of the apocalypse. The parts of this 52m long painting are gathered in an oversized sixty-four-plate concertina folder (with an essay on apocalyptic motifs by art critic Konrad Tobler printed on the verso).
