First page author inscription dated 7 November 1981. The second book of the first artist-in-residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem from 1972-1974. Douens was Leroy Clarke's second book of poetry complementing his simultaneous art show of the same name which ran over the course of 1973 to 1976. Very good book; very good dust jacket, spine lightly rubbed, spine ends chipped, upper cover edge and corners chipped and worn, lower cover 1/4" top joint tear, lower cover top edge 1/4" tear, lower cover worn with light creases wear and rubbing Hardcover, octavo, red cloth boards, gilt spine and cover titles, pictorial dust jacket, 120 pp.

Domestic orders will ship via USPS media mai unless otherwise requested. Books are professionally packed and protected in kraft paper, cardboard, and a waterproofing layer within a small box or mailer. If USPS first class or priority mail is preferred, customer will be responsible for additional shipping cost.
International orders will ship at cost, and are based on USPS shipping calculator for first class international and priority international. If UPS is preferred, we can check to see if service can be provided to the given shipping address and give a quote.

Most orders can also be picked up locally in the NYC area if preferable.
