A propos de cet article

Octavo. 399 pages. Hardcover bound in green cloth with titles in gilt. Light wear to the binding; the corners are a little bumped. A sound copy with clean text. Contains several illustrations. Appears to have been published without a title page. Inscribed by Virginia Jackson on the title page, "To Martha Stewart, a very special friend- with love, Virginia Jackson." No copyright date, but 1991 is stamped in gilt on the spine along with the title. Henry Tull Jackson (1909-1985) was born in North Carolina. In WWII he was in North Africa, China, Burma, and India. The bulk of the entries are personal letters to his wife. He died in High Point, North Carolina.

Description de la boutique

Pages Past is a small used and antiquarian bookshop holding 10,000-15,000 volumes. We are located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Most of our books are hardback, although we have a few bookcases of paperbacks with recent fiction and classic literature represented. We also have a fairly good collection of Eastern Philosophy & Religion (Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism) as well as New Age. Most of these are recent paperbacks in nice condition. We have a good collection of antiquarian books in the fields of Americana, old leather bound books, and early religious and scholarly books. Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. We're closed on Sundays. We are always interested in buying quality books in very good condition.…
