Sepia engraved frontispiece + 8 b/w photo illustrations. Minor rubs to spine extrems. Otherwise clean, bright and tight. Bookplate from Cliveden Library of Nancy Waldorf Astor. SIGNED Nancy L Shaw August 1903. Shaw was her sirname from her 1st marriage to Robert Gould Shaw. She did not marry Waldorf Astor until 1906, so she must have brought this book with her to Cliveden.
