Author signed with dedication to Victor Young on title page. A news release sheet is laid in, advertising Vidal's appearance in Glasgow on 3rd October 1966, and it is likely to be the event at which the book was signed. A commonplace thing to collect these days is a momento of the signing such as a photo with the author, in those days signings were rare and records of signings more so, making this a nice tie-in extra. The binding is sound and free of wear, no other markings, the edges are yellowed (the owner was a smoker at the time), the DJ has a tear at spine top, now mended with archive grade tape, and general minor edgewear and panel rubbing. Whole and unclipped. There are some dusky markings to the purple boards, overall a reasonable collector copy and no other signed British firsts available at time of writing. Size: 8vo.
