Signed by the author "James Ridgely Orndorff" under his photograph on the frontispiece. Also a typed letter on his stationary dated June 17, 1942 is laid in and signed by him. Letter is to a Mrs. Arego Harrison, in the letter he references among other things the book and if she wants a copy he would be glad to autograph it. Very nice clean copy, cloth binding with gilt titles on front cover and spine, illustrated with photographs, and maps two of which are fold-outs, appendix, list of descendants od Major Christian Orndorff and his wife Elizabeth Ann Hoffman, notes on the text, index, 271 pages.
