SIGNED on the title page in Mr. Eco's large bold hand. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Publisher's original medium brown paper-covered boards quarter bound with linen cloth spine and copper colored titles, and decorative copper medieval column design to the front board. Front and rear endpapers illustrated with a floorplan of the ancient monastery in which the action takes place. Stated First Edition on the copyright page with letter line immediately below with BCDE flush left as called for. A Fine crisp, clean copy of the book, with a light touch only of shelf to bottom edge. In A Near Fine dust jacket in which the original price of $15.95 is intact. Light wear to the front corners, head/foot of spine, chipped at top edge of rear panel. A Very Nice copy indeed. Now in a fresh brodart archival jacket protector. Robust shipping.
