UK HAND SIGNED FIRST EDITION. AS NEW and an UNREAD copy. Printed lithographically in black cloth with gold stamp. Presented in a black, gloss coated paper hard slipcase with a 3D photographic image of Freddie Mercury inset in the slipcase. Near Fine book (There are minor score indentations on the book s front cover cloth. This was the condition of the book I received before it was signed by Brian May) in a Near Fine slipcase. Please see the photographs attached to my listing to verify the condition of this book. HAND SIGNED by the author (WITH DEDICATION TO DAVID), Brian May (Queen Founder Member, Guitarist and Songwriter) in permanent black marker pen on the inner cover boards. Inside the slipcase is a London Stereoscopic Company OWL Limited Edition Yellow Plastic 3D Viewer housed in an illustrated, customised designed large format gatefold wallet with instructions for use. The providence of this book is that I obtained it by personally queuing outside Waterstones Bookstore, 203/206 Piccadilly, London, United Kingdom, W1J 9HD, on Friday, 26th May 2017. Brian May personally hand signed the book in my presence. If required, to support authentication, I can share photographs of Brian May and I taken by the event photographer, when Brian signed the book for me. The pictures and self-penned text tell the story of Brian s discovery of the world of stereoscopy as a boy, and chronicle Queen from the early 1970s all the way to the present day. The images, from Brian s personal archives, were taken using the various stereo cameras which Brian carried throughout his life. The book is illustrated with over 300 photographs, the majority actually taken by Brian, and mostly in 3-D. These shots of Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor, and Brian himself, on and off stage all round the world, spring into life when viewed with Brian's patent OWL viewer (supplied free with the book). Through the eyes of Brians camera you are transported back in time to experience Queen's miraculous 46-year journey as if you were actually there whether in a dressing room, in a car, on a plane, or on stage at Madison Square Garden. The three dimensional stereoscopic images (the precursor of Virtual Reality) immerse and engage you in the atmosphere of the moment as no flat 2-D picture ever could.
