It was published as a limited edition of two hundred and twenty copies by R.H. Johns in Newport, Wales.The story itself is told in three parts and centres on characters like Illtyd and the princess Ceinwen.Contains a bookplate from Lambspark School to the front paste down. In the publisher's original half cloth with gilt stamped paper-covered boards. Externally, smart with marginal fading and damp staining to boards. Shelf wear to extremities. The odd mark to the boards and cloth spine. Paper scuffed to rear board. Discolouration to cloth spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean with the odd spot, heaviest to the first and last few. With wide marginal illustrations and three full page plates all engraved in wood by Powell. In the deluxe green full morocco with gilt titles and decoration to upper board. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. The lightest of wear to head and tail of spine. Near fine. (viii), 44 pp. Uncut in publisher's green full morocco, upper cover with a decorative border and circular lettered vignette in gilt, the remnants of the original glassine wrapper including the plain green card flaps loosely inserted. Text within decorative borders throughout, 3 full page illustrations Slight rubbing to the spine ends, else very good. Goldstone & Sweetser, 120a.
