Laid-in is the author's business card, with a color photo of this book's dust jacket front panel on the reverse side. Fine condition in a bright and shiny Near Fine dust jacket. NO chips or fading. NOT price clipped ($8.95). The jacket is protected by a removable Brodart clear-plastic sleeve. Sharp corners. Square and tight. NOT a remainder. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. With 16 pages of maps, captioned ship diagram, and b/w photos. 1971. First printing with "First Edition" so stated on the copyright page. Bound in the original gilt-stamped black cloth.
