Book size about 5 1/2 by 8 inches with some 543 pages. Bound in green cloth with front cover and spine decoration and lettering in gilt and brown. Top edge gilt. Frontis and two other illustrations on glossy paper. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR ON THE FFEP. Novel mostly set in the mining country of Colorado relating the trials and tribulations of a father and son in their efforts to 'strike it rich'. Along the lines of a melodrama to my way of thinking but with much of interest relating to mining and its accompanying tragedies. NOT a religious book in the usual sense as I note others have called it. Actually quite a good Colorado yarn in the old style.
