A propos de cet article

First printing, published 1/31/62 according to copyright statement. Binding tight; pages clean with very faint owner blind stamp on title page. Dust jacket shows light overall soiling and chipping to bottom edges of front and back panels. Inscribed by Moravia to prior owner on front endpaper and dated '64. Small ballpoint notation above: 'Milano 1-2-64' and a price. One of the great novelist's lesser-known works, chronicling his 1961 India trip with Pier Paolo Pasolini and his wife Elsa Morante; still in print, but original editions are uncommon. Signed copies appear genuinely scarce. 159 pages + 36 pages of photos.

Description de la boutique

Hi all! I've been accumulating volumes for well over half my life, mostly autographed and inscribed copies. Wrote a book on book collecting for a Random House imprint in 2004 and another, "Book Collecting Now: The Value of Print in a Digital Age," for Chatwin Books, published in 2019. I intended to keep most of these books forever, but my wife and I decided to move to Manhattan, which meant downsizing from an enormous suburban house, with practically unlimited bookshelf space, to an apartment in Greenwich Village. So hello, AbeBooks!…
