Paperback. First printing. [iii, 61]pp. Side stapled signatures bound in stiff outer wraps. Previous owner's ink name and date on title page, edges sunned with a minor spot of loss at the front joint and faint stain at the top, else a very good example. Signed by Brown on the front free endpaper. Brown is the author of the 1933 novel 'Better Angel' published under the pseudonym Richard Meeker. Now seen as groundbreaking piece of gay literature, the novel was the first to have a gay character who doesn't go on to kill himself or die from guilt and misery. The Mattachine review at the time wrote that the main character Kurt "perhaps the healthiest homosexual in print". Relatively uncommon with OCLC showing just a dozen holdings.
