The first 91 pages contain a facsimile of the original edition published by the press in 1981 under title: The Allen Press Bibliography, mcmlxxxi : produced by hand with art work, sample pages from previous editions. The remainder contain 5 new bibliography entries; an epilogue by the Allens; an appreciation by Carey S. Bliss; and a checklist of ephemera by D. Steven Corey, with the assistance of Ruth Yeaman "This book is issued in an edition limited to 750 copies. The facsimile, or first part, was produced by offset lithography at Mastercraft Press, under the supervision of George Waters. The new, updated material was set in Monotype Van Dijck types by Othmar Peters at Mackenzie-Harris, and printed letterpress on Pastelle Antique paper with deckled edges by Arlen Philpott at his Tamal Land Press. The checklist of ephemera was compiled by D. Steven Corey, aided by Ruth Yeaman. The entire production was managed by Albert Sperisen, Florian Shasky, Shirley and Jay Sheffield, and Lewis and Dorothy Allen with the invaluable assistance of S.
