Henrietta L. Moore is Professor of Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her publications include: Space, Text and Gender (Cambridge, 1986; Guilford, 1996), Feminism and Anthropology (Polity, 1988), A Passion for Difference (Polity, 1994), Cutting Down Trees: Gender, Nutrition and Change in the Northern Province of Zambia, 1890-1990 (with Megan Vaughan; James Currey, 1994), The Future of Anthropological Knowledge (1996), Anthropological Theory Today (Polity, 1999), Those Who Play with Fire: Gender, Fertility and Transformation in East and Southern Africa (with Todd Sanders and B.
