4to. First edition. Ordinary edition. Original cloth spine with illustrated paper boards. Twelve full page colour lithographs. Spine dulled and rubbed at ends. Covers worn at edges. Lightly foxed endpapers split but hinges still firm. Offsetting to text pages, as usual, from the plates. Very good. A calendar for 1898 is followed by Kipling's verses facing Nicholson's illustrations of each of twelve sports, including hunting, fishing, cricket, boxing and coaching.
