Illustrated by Henry Alken, with hand-colored title page, frontispiece and five other colored plates, and 43 wood engravings in the text. 1 vols. 4to. An internally fine copy of the classic work; Tooley notes "There are early states of some of the plates with the imprint dated Nov. 9th not Nov. 19th"; in this volume there are three such early states.
