498 pages plus an index. Preface by W.Y. Evans-Wentz. Illustrated with a map and photographic plates. Paramhansa Yogananda was considered to be one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the 20th century and known to have brought yoga to the western world. In Good to about Very Good condition. The book had been in a club library with writing, book plates, and stamps to the front several pages and the last free page. The covers have a slight residue from the very old Brodart that had been on the book since 1972., otherwise the dark blue covers show the bright gold emboss to the front and spine. There are also several pages with pencil underlines and a few random notations to the margins. There is also light shelf wear but the spine and binding are solid and straight. The original dust jacket is price clipped and was fractionally trimmed at the top to accommodate the Brodart. There is light fade to the spine and several pieces of tape to the back side of the dust jacket that has turned dark with the bottom of the spine bleeding through with the acid stain. The dust jacket still has its original gloss and now in an archival Brodart, looks great. If you can overlook a few cosmetic problems, this landmark book would fit nicely into any spiritual library or collection. (Note: Photos may show magnified dust, a flash reflection, or color washout.) Paypal always welcome. We pack and ship all our books with care in cardboard boxes.
