Also has diagrams of the mechanical forces involved in flight. From the Dust Jacket: "These pictures are the fruits of many days spent in the open with camera, binoculars and telescope, photographing and watching birds. Each one brings back to me a flood of memories - of long days with friends roaming the wilds of Ireland, of sunshine and wet weather, triumph and failure." From the Dust Jacket: "This unique collection of photographs, a tribute to the author's patience and perseverance in conquering the difficulties. In the text John Barlee tells of some of his personal experiences, and gives many of his own observations on bird flight." . First Printing of the First Edition. Hardcover. Original red cloth/Not Clipped (12s. 6d. net). Illus. by Barlee, John (photos). 128pp.…

Besides book fairs and mail order catalogue, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of more than 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialities listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well.
