Complete two-volume set of hardcovers with slipcase. Books in good+ condition, slipcase in good- condition. 1st printing of this edition by University Books, 1967. Translated by James Legge, edited with introduction and study guide by Chu'Chai and Windberg Chai. Except for the new material added by the editors, the text of this editino is that published by Oxford University Press in 1885 as Volumes XXVII and XXVIII of "The Sacred Books of the East" and also designated as Parts III and IV of "The Texts of Confucianism." Volume I: lxxxiv + 479 pages. Volume II: 479 pages with indexes. Bindings are tight and sturdy. Occasional red pencil markings; vast majority of text is unmarked. Light sunning to spine. Slipcase has moderate wear and some tears at hinges. NOT ex-library. Ships same or next business day from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
