First edition, first printing. Limited Edition. Signed by the artist. Publisher's original card covers over cloth spine with titles in black to paper label. With three full page illustrations by Ann Gilligan. Prospectus loosely laid in. Set in Goudy Old Style and printed on an Arab foot-powered press using acid-free archival quality paper. Paste paper designed and marbled by Victoria Hall. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Issued in an edition of 150 numbered copies of which this is numbered 24 and signed by the artists Ann Gilligan in black ink below her 'Dover Beach' illustration and Victoria Hall in black ink on the colophon. There was also 100 numbered copies which were unsigned. Containing Matthew Arnold's love poem 'Calais Sands' (1850) and 'Dover Beach' originally published in 1867.
