A propos de cet article

12mo. (20 cm.) [12]13-131[1]p. Frontispiece plus 5 full-page black and white drawings, one of which appears to be signed by Treichler. Pictorial paper over boards with black letters on the spine and a vignette in green, black and orange of three boys sitting around a campfire in the woods. Minor wear to extremities with two corners just barely rubbed through, top and bottom of spine slightly rubbed, paper very lightly soiled, gift inscription, else very good to near fine with all illustrations present and in fine condition. Elias Manchester Boddy was the editor and publisher of the Los Angeles Daily News in the 1930s and 1940s. He is perhaps best known for his publication of JAPANESE IN AMERICA (1921), but he also wrote THE YELLOW TRAIL (1922). CHIEF BRAVE HEART, written for a juvenile audience, has Jerry Sands as its protagonist and is the first volume in the Jerry Sands Series.
