Brief history and pictures of early Clifton and the Clifton Mine, originally located in Houghton County but in 1861 Keweenaw County was organized, so these citizens found themselves located in Allouez Township in Keweenaw County. The Cliff Mine was a very productive copper producing mine. Fine copy.
