First edition. 8vo., pp.vi,321,32 (publisher's adverts), uncut, pictorial green bevelled cloth, gilt, b/w frontispiece and pictorial title, 22 further b/w illustrations; ink ownership inscription to front free endpaper (dated 1872), foxing to initial and end leaves, paper cracking to inner hinges, though joints remain firm, occasional spots of foxing throughout, water staining to lower margins of prelims, a little light wear to boards, particularly to head and tail bands, light marking to cloth, a good copy of this scarce title. A scarce first edition account of contemporary Spain, featuring illustrations of a variety of clothing fashions. A scarce first edition account, in original green cloth, with gilt motif to the front board. Featuring a monochrome frontispiece, two title pages, and occasional monochrome vignette illustrations throughout, which offer fascinating insight into the contemporary Spanish styles and fashions. Published anonymously, and credited simply to a still unidentified 'resident'. Bound in original green cloth. Externally, generally smart. Notable damp stain to rear board. Moderate bumping to extremities. The odd mark to boards. Moderate fading to spine. Moderate offsetting to boards. Moderate fading to endpapers. Hinges broken. Moderate damp staining to rear endpapers Moderate loss to rear free endpaper, where small area has stuck to the rear paste down. Mild worming and chipping to rear free endpaper.
