Small octavo, original card wrappers, black lettering on front cover, top edges gilt, silk ribbon bookmark. 32 pp., Frontispiece portrait with tissue guard, plus one additional plate with tissue guard inserted in the text. A remarkable copy, uncut and unopened, with the original wrap-around band, the orignal glassine protector, in the original box. Covers browned from the glassine, a couple of tiny bumps, but fine in the original box which is slightly soiled and worn. Untouched for over 110 years; an astonishing copy. Biography of Stevenson's nurse, by her close friend Lord Guthrie.
