short folio or tall quarto, bound in original quarter vellum with light brown paper covered boards that are heavily soiled , water spots on cover, partial title poorly written on backstrip- generally treated badly on the outside, however the inside is near fine, bookplate of front free endpaper is signed by Macomber and indicates this is copy 2 of 50 and dated 12/1/1928. Paper generally high quality and pages are uncut. The exposed edges are soiled from exposure - mostly dusty and a bit darkened, pagination is a bit difficult to describe as the plate pages are unnumbered pages as well as a few others. There are 85 leaves counting free endpapers and all text and plate leaves, but not counting the tissue guards by each plate. Of these leaves there are page numbers i- vi, and 1- 107 and there are 24 plates of tapestries and descriptions of 53 tapestries. overall, exterior is fair to good, inside very good or better, Note: dues to size and weight shipping outside the USA may cost more than an average book.
