First edition hard back binding recently rebound in dark olive green cloth covers, gilt and burgundy leather title label to the spine, tooled corners to the boards, new Victorian end papers. 8vo. 9'' x 5½''. Contains 34 [The London Catalogue] [viii] 78 printed pages of text followed by 6 hand coloured plates, 3 other hand coloured plates, and 6 monochrome plates, one of which has been started in colour. This is all followed by a hand written contemporary text book concerning the flora of Kent, magazine cuttings from The Science Gossip [1884 by W. T. Haydon], one photograph and some drawings. In Very Good clean condition with fox spotting to the tissue guarded plates. Loosely enclosed are notes and letters, one flyer from Liverpool Microscopical Society [1894]. Member of the P.B.F.A. KENT [Antiquarian].
