Published by Boussod Valadon & Cie in 1886. A First Edition. English language. a folio containing 33 illustrated pages that tell two tales. Unpaginated heavy paper stock with text and illustrations on one side of the page only. Beaumont's original aquarelles are replicated on the pages. A few are in black and white but most were originally coloured to a high level. The colophon on the last page dates the contents of the book as having been produced in 1886. The jacket states 1887. Both dates can be correct. The pages are contained in a pale green portfolio. Size: 40.5 x 30 cms or 16 x 12 inches. Page number: 33. Condition: Near Fine and Very Good. The pages have darkened slightly at the edges but remain fresh and clean. The jacket is worn and quite grubby.There was once silk to the spine that has deteriorated. Also ribbons that held the folio together which are now lost. When one opens up the folder it reveals itself to have once been a pretty shade of blue.
