A propos de cet article

SUBTITLED : ` Women, Work, and Welfare in a Reservation Community '. 154 pages including INDEX with a few (archival) b/w photographs. In 1951 the U.S. government built the garrison Dam. Learn more about : ceremonial giving, Josie Chase, beadwork, Four Bears Casino, Bismarck North Dakota, kinship, focalwomen, HUD housing, and Red Buttes School. Text accompanied by one reservation map. Cond : Paper wrapper is green, rust, and white. Front cover graphic is a 1930's photograph of women (and dogs) lined up outside a trading post. Volume is tight, bright, square and clean. First pages of introduction have been hi-lighted. No other marks. No tears. Excellent reading copy ! Quote (p. 87) : " Women are not so worried about who gets the credit. They're more concerned about getting the job done - especially with our families._._.The more people who are included, the stronger ._._._. ." Size: 8vo. …
