A propos de cet article

True First Edition, First Printing (stated "Published October 1921" on copyright page with matching 1921 date on title page). Hardcover. Small octavo, 204 pages. Bound in the publisher's original light green cloth cover, featuring the authentic First Edition pictorial stamping in dark green and black on the front board and spine. Beautifully illustrated with a color frontispiece and 3 additional full-color plates by Rhoda Chase, alongside black-and-white text illustrations throughout. All plates are present and intact. Good condition. The light green cloth is clean with moderate rubbing to the corners and spine ends. The pictorial stamping is lightly faded. Inside, the pages are lightly toned with occasional finger-soiling. The binding is slightly leane and the hinges are completely intact and strong. A wonderful, highly collectible copy of a scarce 1921 children's classic.

Description de la boutique

Welcome to my collection. I'm an older gentleman who's spent decades living among the sun-baked landscapes of the Southwest, and even more time seeking out the ghosts of literature. This isn't your typical, brightly lit chain store; it's a carefully curated selection born from a lifetime of collecting. My passion lies in finding books that are old, hard to find, and truly unique. Think first editions that pre-date ISBNs, obscure regional histories from dusty western towns, beautiful leather-bound classics, and scholarly works long out of print. If a book has a story to tell beyond its pages—a beautiful inscription, a unique provenance, or a cover worn smooth by time—it's likely found a temporary home here. Each listing you see is for a book that has passed through my hands, been inspected by my eyes, and personally described by me. I treat these books with the respect they deserve and strive to provide you with an honest and detailed assessment of their condition. Whether you're looking for a specific gap in your library or simply hunting for that rare piece of history you didn't know existed, I'm here to help you connect with your next literary treasure.…
