Collection of offprints from his published works. Various sizes, various publications and publishers. All in original printed wrappers, few bit edge frayed in places, small inscription to each. All are fully identified, collated and described. List with full descriptions and collation is enclosed. In a very good condition. ~ FIRST EDITION thus. Rare collection of ca. 60 offprints, mostly signed and inscribed by Keimer. Ludwig (Louis) Joseph Gustav Keimer's (1893-1957) published output reached 200 items, of which 60 are offered here for sale. A bibliography of his publications appeared in his Etudes d'égyptologie (Cairo, 1940). Biographies were published by J. Leclant in Archiv für Orientforschung (1957-1958); and by B. van de Walle in Chronique d'Egypte (1958). His Cairo library was at the time the world's largest private library on Egypt. In May 1957 the German Archaeological Institute purchased the Keimer's collection, comprising of some 7000 books and nearly the same number of offprints. Almost all the items in this list come from the library of Keimer's friend and colleague, Egyptologist Prof. Dr. Baudouin van de Walle (1901-1988). Many are dedicated to him, some in length. When the "Ludwig Keimer Foundation for Comparative Research in Archaeology and Ethnology" was established in 1969, Prof. Van de Walle was on it's Board of Advisers. Some of the offprints are dedicated by the author to renowned Egyptologist Prof. Dr. Adriaan de Buck (1892-1959). They later moved to the library of Egyptologist Prof. Dr. Joris Frans Borghouts (1939-2018) from where they come now. All offprints are fully described and collated. Throughout the list, references have been made to Beinlich-Seeber (Bibliographie Altägypten 1822-1946); and to AEB (Annual Egyptological Bibliography) for anything published after 1946. --.
