A propos de cet article
A first edition thus of this early twentieth-century collection of Thomson's works, in a fine binding. First Edition Thus Featuring a tissue-guarded portrait frontispiece. James Thomson (11 September 1700 27 August 1748) was a Scottish poet and playwright, known for his masterpiece The Seasons and the lyrics of Rule, Britannia! In a decorative full calf binding. Externally, very smart with just minor shelfwear only. Chip to spine label. Front joint cracked but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Some spotting to the endpapers but otherwise very clean throughout. Ink inscription to front free endpaper, dated 1919. Very Good.
