A propos de cet article

This volume is in very good condition, almost as new. The volume has red, cloth covered boards with gilt lettering. The board corners are very minimally bumped. The pages are clean and crisp. The dust jacket is unmarked but has slight bumping on the corners and on the inside flap. Not ex-library. From the dust jacket: “Consuming Splendor is a fascinating study of the ways in which the consumption of luxury goods transformed social practices, gender roles, royal policies, and the economy in seventeenth-century England.” The book includes an exhaustive 44 page bibliography and a 26 page index. 431 pp. Shelf: W.
