. 96 pages, some foxing/grubbiness to edges but otherwise a nice crisp copy of this scarce book about the years Miss Cable spent in the Gobi Desert, coinciding with their rescue of Gwa-Gwa, later known as Topsy, and their gaining of permission to bring her back to England (where she was known as Eileen Guy, and survived Miss Cable and the French sisters by around 30 years). London [1957], China Inland Mission. Stiff wrs., very good, 96p. An interesting biography of the celebrated and courageous missionary who with her companion Francesca French traveled the breath and width of the Gobi & Central Asia, as they did their missionary work. "Saving souls" was their mission, as they traveled on foot, mule and in ox cart throughout the region. This is her story as an itinerant evangelist. N° de réf. du vendeur 99007101
