A propos de cet article

Softcover book in very good condition with crease of the text block on the bottom corner of the back cover that becomes more shallow as you go towards the front of the book. Otherwise, the book is clean, tight and unmarked. The true story of the eviction in 1912 by the State of Maine of the mixed race fishing community of Malaga Island off the coast of Phippsburg, Maine. Some residents were forced in to homes for the feeble-minded and the remains in the island's cemetary were exhumed and reburied at Pinelands. An apology was issued 2010, but the land was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is now owned by The Maine Coast Heritage Trust. The author interviewed residents's in his town of Cundy's Harbor about their memories of the events. Historical Ficiton.
