78pp. The third volume of Lowell's poetry. A series of sonnets dedicated to the author's second wife, Caroline Blackwood. This is an Uncorrected Proof Copy of the book published by Faber and Faber. Light grey paper covers with black lettering. Name written in pencil on front cover - Miss Goad. Rosemary Goad was the first female Director of Faber (from 1970 to 1988). No other inscriptions. Sun lightened edges of rear cover. Shelf wear to corners. In VG+ condition.
