A propos de cet article
Good condition. Ex library copy with no dust jacket. External sticker on spine. Stamps on foredges and inside pages. Wear to book corners and edges. Pages are sunned. Preliminary and end pages have foxing spots. Book is in a non-adhesive protective cover. This fascinating book serves as a bridge between Rica Erikson's two loves - botany and history. It is the biography of James Drummond (1784-1863), who was born in Hawthornden, Scotland and arrived in Western Australia on the Parmelia in 1829. He was the first resident government naturalist/botanist, and his family established the property of Hawthornden in the Toodyay Valley near where Rica lived at Bolgart. Includes bibliography and index.
