Brief history and numerous pictures of early South Range located in Houghton County, Michigan. It was said that the village of South Range was never designed to be a mining company town, but rather to serve as a business and residential hub serving the people who worked for the mines of the local area. The name "South Range" was appropriate as the village was located at the south end of the copper range. Fine copy.
