A very good and handsome copy with an intriguing contemporary gift inscription: "E.G.A. from S.B." Surprisingly scarce. Frederic William Henry Myers (1843 ? 1901) was a British poet, classicist, philologist, and a founder of the Society for Psychical Research (but that is a whole other story). The leading essay on "Greek Oracles" (pp. 1-105) is regarded as a significant contribution to the literature. From a contemporary review: "The spiritual in poetry or in art appeals strongly to the author.
