Original presumed first edition of Sayce's "An Elementary Grammar; with Full Syllabary and Progressive Reading Book, of the Assyrian Language, in the Cuneiform Type." The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. There is no printed publishing date, but the preface is dated 1875. The covers have some mild wear with a little bit of wear to the cloth of the rear cover along the length of the spine. The binding is good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age but is mostly nice and clean, though there may be the occasional page with a light bit of foxing, grubbiness, or some kind of other minor imperfection, such as a tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, minor stain or marking, etc. The book measures approximately 9 1/2 inches by 7 1/4 inches and is 129 pages long.
